Passthrough Leather Watch Strap
There's something satisfying about an analog watch. Our founder wore his first watch around age five, a hand wound piece adorned with Dr. Seuss. He still has it, and that watch collection has continued to grow. This love of timepieces prompted the watch strap DIY on the W&F Journal, and they were brought into the line shortly thereafter.
Lately, we've updated our beloved watch straps with a luxurious and hard wearing English bridle leather, tanned in Pennsylvania from legendary vegetable tanner Wickett & Craig. This beautiful leather is drum dyed and hot stuffed for a smooth and durable finish. We hand stitch the strap with stainless steel hardware and stamp our mark on the back. A stainless polished buckle is finished with our mark subtly engraved (only on 20mm). We use 3oz. leather weight because it fits most watches better, instantly comfortable, while still being super strong. The back is finished smooth.
Suitable for watches with a lug spacing of 18mm or 20mm. Works best with more room between the case and pin, but can also be installed by removing the pins where a tight fit might mar the leather. Slides easily though Seiko automatics, tighter fit on Maratec Pilot for example. When in doubt, ask for an install with your local watch repair person or jeweler.
10.75 inches overall length and available in 18mm and 20mm lug widths. Fits wrists from 6.5 inches to 9 inches - however sizing can change depending on watch face installed. Watch not included, of course.
