Cordovan Passthrough Watch Strap

There's something satisfying about an analog watch. Our founder wore his first watch around age five, a hand wound piece adorned with Dr. Seuss. He still has it, and that watch collection has continued to grow. This love of timepieces prompted the watch strap DIY on the W&F Journal, and they were brought into the line shortly thereafter.

Using genuine Horween Shell Cordovan, this is the finest quality watch strap we make. The smooth grain and finish of the leather, hand stitching and stainless steel hardware will complement your finest compatible watch body.

Some straps may have a portion of the Genuine Cordovan Shell factory stamp, every cut is different and yours will vary slightly.

Suitable for watches with a lug spacing of 18mm or 20mm. Works best with more room between the case and pin, but can also be installed by removing the pins where a tight fit might mar the leather. Slides easily though Seiko automatics, tighter fit on Maratec Pilot for example. When in doubt, ask for an install with your local watch repair person or jeweler. Watch not included, of course.

Dimensions: 10.75 in overall length and available in 18mm and 20mm lug widths. Fits wrists from 6.5 inches to 9 inches - however sizing can change depending on watch face installed.

Materials: Genuine Shell Cordovan leather, stainless steel hardware.

We hate to think about it, but sometimes problems occur with our products. We try to make everything perfect and usually over-built, however if something was missed, we want to make sure it's corrected. Wood&Faulk products are built on the premise that they'll last a LONG TIME. Probably a poor business model if we want you to buy more things to replace your old things, but we don't care. We want your items to become part of your permanent style.

Should a problem occur due to our manufacturing, please let us know. We'll fix it. Send us a note at or via our contact page, and we'll take care of things.

The waxed cotton canvas we use has some special care instructions. Never machine wash or dry clean. Never use soap or chemicals. Usually the best way to clean is with a brush or a water dampened towel. It's a pretty low maintenance product, and should be treated as such. If you do need a re-wax on areas of heavy use, we do sell Martexin Original Wax in small tins here.

The beauty of leather is that it will age and change over time to the way you use it. Certain uses will age it faster... like exposure to water. Try to keep your leather as dry as possible, but when it happens, just make sure to let your item air-dry overnight. You can apply saddle soap or cleaning and protection, or we recommend conditioners from Red Wing Shoes, or from our friends at Otter Wax.
