Making of The Sidecar Bag

Making of The Sidecar Bag

Working on new bags in the shop is probably the most fun part of this business... Second only to buying new machines/tools. Design time and concepts are typically short, as we dive into creation pretty soon in the process. I bring ideas to Becca, our construction master, and we pour over what looks right, what could go wrong, what elements we can pull from our line and what should be modified. The design relationship that Becca and I share is one of the things I'm most thankful for.

With clever functionality in mind, we started looking at ways to bring all the loved elements of this bag back to life. After years making the Carpenter Bag, we've learned a lot about what works and what doesn't. This bag should have the same inventive spirit and durability, but we wanted something lighter and almost more personal. Though, don't let the size fool you, there's still PLENTY of space and pockets.

Have a look in our workshop and see parts the process below. We'll be offering this new creation as a pre-order now so you can save your place in line. In addition to our standard colors, we've gone a little crazy and created SIX additional color combinations! Our Limited Edition colors won't last long though, so don't hesitate! Shipping begins around May 10th.

After plenty of tests, prototypes and revisions, we're happy to present our latest piece... the Sidecar Everyday bag.
